Soft Play Party Hire Terms & Safety Guidance

Overview
By placing a booking with Soft Play Party, you agree to the following Hire Terms and Safety Guidance. These guidelines are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all children using the equipment.
The person making the booking (“the Hirer”) accepts full responsibility for the equipment for the duration of the hire period.
Delivery Area
We provide free delivery and collection within 5 miles of our Billericay HQ.
Our booking system automatically checks your postcode at checkout to ensure you fall within our delivery area. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us before booking — we’re always happy to help.
Bookings made outside our delivery area may be cancelled and refunded.
Delivery & Collection
Delivery typically begins from 7am on the day of your hire, with collection taking place later the same day.
Delivery and collection windows are scheduled by Soft Play Party to ensure an efficient service for all customers. We will contact you closer to your hire date to confirm your allocated time slots.
We reserve the right to adjust delivery or collection times where necessary due to operational requirements or circumstances outside of our control.
If your booking is at a venue with fixed access times, please inform us as soon as possible. We will always do our best to accommodate reasonable timing requirements where operationally possible.
Please ensure:
• Suitable access is available
• Parking is reasonably close to the setup location
• Adequate space is prepared before arrival
If we are unable to access the property or complete delivery due to access restrictions, insufficient space, or inaccurate information provided at the time of booking, refunds may not be offered.
All equipment must be ready for collection at the agreed time. Additional charges may apply if collection is delayed.
Space Requirements
It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure there is sufficient, safe, and suitable space for the soft play setup.
The equipment must be placed on a flat, stable surface indoors unless otherwise agreed.
It cannot be set up on gravel, uneven ground, or unsafe surfaces.
If you are unsure about suitability, please contact us before your event - we are happy to help.
✅ Safety Guidance
Our soft play equipment is designed specifically for toddlers and prioritises low-level, cushioned play. However, safe use relies on responsible adult supervision.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the following safety guidance is followed at all times:
Supervision
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Equipment should never be left unattended while in use.
Age Suitability
- Equipment is designed primarily for toddlers aged 1–3 years.
- Older children should not use the equipment if their size or weight could pose a risk to younger users.
Safe Play Environment
Please ensure:
- No shoes are worn on the soft play
- No food, drinks, or chewing gum are allowed on the equipment
- No sharp objects, face paint, glitter, or messy substances are used near the equipment
- The play area is not overcrowded
- Suitable spacing is maintained around the equipment
Respectful Use
The equipment must only be used for its intended purpose.
Rough play or misuse is not permitted.
Liability
All persons using the equipment do so at their own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soft Play Party accepts no liability for injuries or accidents resulting from:
- Misuse of equipment
- Lack of supervision
- Failure to follow the safety guidance outlined above
Responsibility for Equipment
The Hirer accepts full responsibility for all equipment from the time of delivery until collection.
A minimum cleaning fee of £40 may be charged if equipment is returned in an excessively dirty condition.
Replacement charges may apply for irreparably damaged or missing items.
Charges may apply for:
- Loss or theft
- Damage beyond normal wear
- Missing items
- Excessive dirt requiring deep cleaning
Please return all balls to the ball pit where applicable.
Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances
In rare situations beyond our control - including severe weather, illness, vehicle breakdown, or other unforeseen events - we reserve the right to reschedule your booking or provide a full refund.
Our liability is limited to the total value of the booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair as possible.
More than 7 days before hire:
✔ Full refund or option to reschedule.
Within 7 days of hire:
❌ Non-refundable.
However, we will always try to accommodate a date change where possible.
If Soft Play Party must cancel your booking for any reason within our control, you will receive a full refund.
Late Payments (If Applicable)
All balances must be paid prior to the hire date.
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking.
Damage to Property
While we take great care during delivery, setup, and collection, Soft Play Party cannot accept responsibility for accidental damage that may occur as part of normal installation.
Agreement
By placing a booking with Soft Play Party, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood the Hire Terms & Safety Guidance
- You accept responsibility for the equipment during the hire period
- You agree to follow the safety guidance above
